La Reserva Owner Testimonials
Some kind words from our property owners and residents
Diane and Tom's La Reserva Story
We currently live in Orlando, Florida and have recently purchased vacation property at La Reserva Manabi.
Diane and I have traveled throughout Europe, Central and South America. We were very impressed with the La Reserva vision, location and cost. We liked the town of Ayampe and the friendly people.
We have also just completed the building of a two bedroom vacation home on the property. We have never built a home without being present to check on the progress in person so that was a concern.
The architect worked with us and oversaw the project, so it did not turn out to be a problem. He kept us fully informed on every aspect of the building of our home via Skype, email, video and pictures. We had no difficulty making a few changes as we went along with the project.
We wanted a relaxing environment, Ecuador uses the American dollar and it’s an easy location from the United States. The view from the property is unbelievable!
We love to hike, walk the beaches and meet new and interesting people. The town is small so it is easy to get to know people and they are all very friendly and helpful.
This is our new vacation home. It is peaceful, relaxing, adventurous, a new and exciting time in our lives. A quiet, relaxing and peaceful environment with beautiful ocean views for ourselves and a getaway for family and friends.
Amie & Eric's La Reserva Story
We visited Ecuador in 2015 where we were introduced to all the diversity the country has to offer. We had been considering an investment property in another country and after doing research, discovered that Ecuador checked off most items on our wish list.
Eric and I love the beach so we did some more research and found that Ayampe was a perfect fit. Ayampe has a small town feel, with dirt roads and a neighborhood corner store; a grocery truck that comes around daily offering all of the local fruits and vegetables.
It is so satisfying to get things such as bananas, passion fruit and avocados all at a fraction of the cost in the US! Ayampe is such a close-knit community with a family feel and we were welcomed immediately by everyone.
We came across the ‘La Reserva’ project via word of mouth. One of the owners of La Buena Vida hotel (Keith) told us about the project and we scheduled a meeting to go up the hill to have a look. We were immediately stunned by the ocean views!
After a short discussion we decided that this was going to be our investment property. The entire buying process was facilitated by the owners of the project and they took us directly to the municipality to help us get our deed and all the proper paperwork.
Now, in 2018 and our investment has increased substantially thanks in part to the new roads, power and water throughout the project. The owners are very helpful when we have questions, although there aren’t many because we are kept up to speed with frequent updates on all the happenings of the community.
We go back to Ayampe every year to check on things and we love the new lookout tower on the top of the project, along with the community pavilion located deep in the jungle. Can’t wait til our next trip down!
