This home maximizes square footage while maintaining a small nature friendly footprint on the property. The design incorporates the use of locally sourced materials, water reclamation, and permaculture landscape design.
The property is a large lot measuring 1,000 square meters (1/4 acre) at La Reserva Manabi eco community in Ayampe, Ecuador.
The house has an area of approximately 1,600 square feet enclosed, plus an additional 500 square feet from two balconies and included backyard terraces. A/C, hot water, a water cistern and pressure pump are standard.
Breathtaking Ocean View Living
The spacious ocean-view kitchen and living room lead to the large first floor balcony, where you can enjoy breathtaking views over dinner each evening.
The balcony runs the entire front of the house (45ft long) and offers unobstructed views. This balcony includes an outdoor BBQ and outdoor kitchen with working sink.
Natural Jungle Vegetation & Gardening
On the side of the home there’s an outdoor shower perfect for rinsing off after a long day of work or at the beach to prevent bringing added sand and dirt into the home.
There are terraces in the back yard for planting gardens with your own fruits, vegetables and herbs.
