Infrastructure Update La Reserva Manabi – Water Pipes

Progress Update – Water Pipes for Drainage and Retention

We’ve been working hard at La Reserva Manabi. Most of phase 1 is now complete with power and water. For the past few months we have had the machines working in phase 1 to install drainage pipes, underground power lines and water mains for each lot to access.

We have carefully designed green areas that follow the natural contour of the hillside which also double as drainage paths and water retention. With the installation of the drainage pipes the rain water will now be more easily diverted down the mountainside in order to prevent erosion. These drainage paths will also help keep the existing roads intact.

The next step will be completing the installation of underground power lines in Phase 1 and 2 and low level lighting along the roads. These light poles will be approximately 1 meter or 3 feet in height and the light will shine toward the ground. This will keep the light pollution to a minimum while also being functional during dusk and night time hours.

Un-plug, de-stress and recharge on your life’s journey

Created by Award-Winning filmmaker, Brett Mazurek, who was inspired by one of his latest documentaries on sustainability, “The Future of Energy” to create a completely self-sustained, Zero Net Energy village. The goal is to inspire through transformational experiences and symbiotic relationships within a sustainable community. After 15 months of production and working with people in the sustainability field such as environmentalist, Bill McKibben, professor of civil and environmental engineering at Stanford University, Mark Z. Jacobson, Eco-Philosopher, Joanna Macy and walking with 400 thousand people at The People’s Climate March in NYC,  Brett knew he wanted to build an eco-friendly, sustainable village that people could come, unplug and have an immersive experience in a unique environment that takes participants out of their everyday box.

Two years later, Brett linked up with award winning Architectural Firm Penda to create a design that blends Modern tech with Cultural Wisdom. CEO, Chris Precht, and his team came up with a unique one of a kind modular design based on Native American teepees built with bamboo, rope and recycled materials that allow the structure to become an element that eventually grows into the environment.

La Reserva Manabi and Wild Child Village are excited to present a greener approach to development and lifestyle in Ayampe. Come see for yourself why La Reserva Manabi is quickly becoming a premier destination for a new green, sustainable living community.
